Legal Issues In The Handling Of A Caller ID
Whoever guessed when a mere prank or a small default in the use of a service that is otherwise overwhelmingly useful might land a person in trouble that is entirely unwonted and shows no definite plans of ending. There have been known incidents when a mere joke or a smallish misinterpretation led to a lot of problems that could never be solved for default of proof or for the contrary reason.
Please note that there are a number of legal issues connected with the legality of handling a caller ID or for the use of the same facility available on the calling device for the shading of one’s own identity for some reason or the other. In some countries as in the particularly clear example of the US the use of the caller id is shadowed in the foliage of several legal exercises. Call blocking is the frequently challenged case on most instances of robbery or fraudulent dealings and people have regretted their folly in the biggest of ways when they discovered that they had been fooled or misguided by a particular party without batting an eyelid.
There are people who have a typical tendency to make the most of a little technicality that they have within their reach and try and block their identity for no particular reason and should it so happen that the called party lands in some trouble on account of the same they can land themselves in big trouble and might well be challenged in a court of law. These rules are particularly abiding in the case of the phenomenon of telecalling in various countries and people go out of their way to guise their wrong doings in the name of job responsibility. This is banned in most countries and it is best not to indulge in such flippant behavior.
