Problems Associated With The Caller ID
There is no particular phenomenon in this world that has a capability to oversee the phenomenon of not having negative points in its character. Even the greatest paragon of virtue has some loopholes on her outlook of the world and for the same reason there happen to be certain defaults or hassles in the use of a Caller Identification machine. A few of the more common problems or defaults in the provision of caller identification are discussed below in a point-wise order.
- The caller id works in a similar fashion as in the case of mobile cellular phones where an ISD call is merely identified with an additional 0 at the opening of a number. The sadder part of the story is to further the story that even local numbers appear with an opening 0 in some cases for no particular reason. It is hence difficult to trace an ISD call to its origin.
- Caller identification is banned in some countries for the case of international call in which case the screen on your telephonic machine will merely display- “International” or “Unidentified” both of which are possible even in the regular round of affairs.
- In some cases it is felt as the need of the hour by a certain caller to keep his or her personal identity in the shadows and it is not necessary that the caller is a prankster in all cases. The caller id can be a hindrance to such callers.
- The caller id in most cases has a limited memory (this is being worked upon) and therefore it is sometimes not possible for big organizations to store all the numbers that they might otherwise wish to keep recorded.
If these problems are overlooked which is not always possible, the Caller Id is a great asset!
